Ski de Femme – an event for Women 16+ at Falls Creek is proudly presented by the Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club. This community event has been going since July 1994 and is run by volunteers as a day out on cross country skis for women of all ages and abilities.
This annual event offers free cross country skiing instruction by our volunteer coaches in small groups for both novice and intermediate skiers in a choice of classical or skating techniques. It also focuses on fun and fitness! The clinics are fun and a great way for women of all abilities to develop confidence, learn about and/or improve cross country skiing technique.
After the skills clinics a great morning tea will be provided and is followed by a fun ski race to put into practice newly learnt skills. After the FUN race our great SPOT PRIZES made available by generous sponsors will be drawn.
Plan to ARRIVE EARLY. Aim for 9 am at Windy Corner Car Park and the Nordic Bowl by 9.45 am. Saturday is busy!
NEW FOR 2025 : BUS TRANSPORT from Mt Beauty. COST $10 and includes resort entry.
There are 53 seats available departing Falls Creek Coach Depot in Mt Beauty at 7.45 am and then departing Falls Creek at 3.30pm (booking below)
The BUS TRANSPORT OPTION is made possible by a community grant from AGL. The bus will take you to the Falls Creek arrival Hub. From there, you have two options which are to catch the mini bus shuttle to Windy Corner or walk up the road for 10 mins to the trail head. This option makes for safe warm travel if you are unaccustomed to driving in the snow!
